Join Caz and other likeminded “foodies” as we explore what was once a working-class and immigrant neighbourhood now rich in ethnic diversity, culture and food.
Explore the Mediterranean capital of Brisbane in South Brisbane and West End. Starting with the best coffee, we will visit two major suppliers of Greek and Lebanese foods then onto the famous Mick’s Nuts that’s been around since Dionysus had his first sip of wine.
Learn about the history of West End and South Brisbane and how the neighbourhood has had its culture and food history changes. From local First Nations people to English, European immigrants and Vietnamese.
We will finish the day with a very traditional Greek feast at one of West Ends older Greek taverna’s.
